DESCRIPTION: ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Georgia... Big Creek near Alpharetta affecting Forsyth and Fulton Counties. Yellow River at Gees Mill Road affecting Newton and Rockdale Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring. * WHERE...Yellow River at Gees Mill Road. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Minor flooding continues in the woodlands...fields and pasture along the river upstream and downstream from the gage on Gees Mill Road in Rockdale County. Large portions of Sockwell Road by the river in Newton County will be up to 3 feet under water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 6:30 AM EST Saturday the stage was 11.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:30 AM EST Saturday was 11.7 feet. - Forecast...The river has crested and will continue to gradually fall to below flood stage by this evening. - Flood stage is 11.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 11.6 feet on 02/13/2024. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

A contrail is an artificial cloud, created by the passing of an
aircraft.
Contrails form because water vapor in the exhaust of aircraft engines is suspended
in the air under certain temperatures and humidity conditions. These contrails
are called exhaust contrails.
Another type of contrail can form due to a temporary reduction in air pressure
moving over the plane's surface, causing condensation.
These are called aerodynamic contrails.
When you can see your breath on a cold day, it is also because of condensation.
The reason contrails last longer than the condensation from your breath is
because the water in contrails freezes into ice particles.

Cumulus clouds are fluffy and textured with rounded tops, and
may have flat bottoms. The border of a cumulus cloud
is clearly defined, and can have the appearance of cotton or cauliflower.
Cumulus clouds form at low altitudes (rarely above 2 km) but can grow very tall,
becoming cumulus congestus and possibly the even taller cumulonimbus clouds.
When cumulus clouds become taller, they have a greater chance of producing precipitation.
